Ah letterpress. The mere mention of the word delights designers and print enthusiasts alike. I still recall the first proof I pulled on a Vandercook 4 in Los Angeles many years ago. 12pt Futura, all caps, pink ink. It was like eating a cupcake for the first time. Letterpress printing is part art, part car mechanics, part puzzle solving and you do it standing up which adds to the whole physicality of it. In short, letterpress printing is good for the brain. I print with lino cuts, old advertising dingbats, big wood type, and polymer plates. I print custom holiday cards, wedding invitations, citations, small posters, business cards, and hang tags. I sell ready-made letterpress products on Etsy.
